Continue to Give Praise

Healing is not meant to be a temporary experience. God’s desire is for us to walk in wholeness, continuing in the victory He has provided. One important key to maintaining what God has done is continuing in a lifestyle of thanksgiving and praise.

Thanksgiving does more than acknowledge a blessing. It strengthens our faith, keeps our focus on God’s promises, and helps us remain established in what He has already done. When we continue giving thanks, we are choosing to agree with God’s Word instead of allowing circumstances or symptoms to redirect our focus.

We see this clearly in the story of the ten lepers. All ten were cleansed as they followed Jesus’ instruction, but only one returned to give thanks, glorify God, and worship Jesus. The nine received cleansing, but the one who returned was made whole. Thanksgiving moved him from healing into complete restoration.

The woman with the issue of blood also shows us the process of faith. She heard the Word, believed, spoke, and acted. She received healing when she touched Jesus’ garment, but Jesus declared that her faith had made her whole. God’s desire is not only the removal of sickness. His desire is complete restoration in spirit, soul, and body.

Praise and thanksgiving help protect what we receive. They keep our attention on God’s promises and refuse agreement with temporary symptoms. They also turn our testimony into a weapon against the enemy because Scripture tells us we overcome by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony.

This does not mean we ignore challenges. When symptoms try to return, we do what Scripture teaches. We resist the enemy, stand on the Word, refuse to agree with what contradicts God’s promises, and continue our confession of faith. Instead of focusing on what we feel in the moment, we continue thanking God for what He has already done.

Thanksgiving keeps our hearts established. It reminds us of God’s faithfulness and keeps us connected to the finished work of Jesus. The goal is not simply receiving healing. The goal is walking in the fullness of what God has provided.

The encouragement this week is simple. Continue thanking God for His goodness. Continue declaring His promises. Continue standing on His Word. Praise preserves what God has given, strengthens our faith, and helps us walk in lasting victory.
