Look to the Word

One of the greatest challenges in the life of faith is deciding what we will believe when circumstances seem to contradict God's promises. Healing may have manifested, provision may have come, yet symptoms or setbacks try to convince us that nothing has changed. In those moments, we must decide what has the final authority.

Scripture tells us that we walk by faith, not by sight. That means we are not governed by what we see, feel, hear, taste, or smell. Our natural senses can report facts, but God's Word reveals the truth. Facts may be temporary, but God's promises are eternal.

Faith does not deny reality. If a symptom appears, faith does not pretend it isn't there. Instead, faith refuses to let that symptom have the final word. We acknowledge what we see, but we agree with what God has already said. His Word remains the highest authority.

This is why our confession matters. We are not speaking the Word to impress people or convince ourselves that nothing is wrong. We speak because we are agreeing with God. Our words should reflect His promises, not simply our circumstances.

Abraham gives us a powerful example. He recognized the natural facts surrounding his situation, yet he refused to let those facts weaken his faith. Instead, he grew stronger by giving glory to God and trusting His promise. The woman with the issue of blood followed the same pattern. She believed before she felt the result. Healing came first, and her feelings followed.

Faith also requires endurance. There will be times when pressure comes after the breakthrough. Symptoms may try to return. Unexpected financial challenges may arise after we sow a seed. Those moments are not invitations to quit. They are opportunities to keep standing on what God has said.

The encouragement this week is simple. Keep your eyes on the Word. Let God's promises have the final authority over every circumstance. Stand in faith, continue speaking His truth, and refuse to surrender what He has already provided. His Word never changes, and it will always be greater than what you see or feel.
