The Fix

God has already provided everything we need through His covenant. The challenge is not whether He is faithful. The challenge is learning how to hold fast to what He has promised.

Whether it is healing, provision, peace, or any other covenant promise, the Word tells us not to let go. We must recognize where the blessing came from, understand that the enemy comes to steal, and refuse to move away from what God has said belongs to us.

The foundation of holding fast is staying connected to the Word. Proverbs teaches us to attend to God’s words, keep them before our eyes, and place them in the midst of our hearts because His Word brings life and health. The Word is not something we visit occasionally. It is our daily source of strength.

Faith also requires speaking. Biblical faith is not only believing in the heart. It also involves speaking with the mouth. That means our confession should continue agreeing with God’s promises over every area of our lives, including our health, finances, family, and minds. Circumstances may change, but our confession should remain anchored in the Word.

Scripture also gives us the proper order for dealing with opposition. James tells us to submit to God and resist the devil. We do not entertain fear, symptoms, doubt, or temptation. We stand on God’s Word and refuse to give the enemy room to move.

After we pray and believe we receive, thanksgiving becomes a key part of continuing in faith. Instead of constantly asking for what God has already provided, we begin thanking Him for His faithfulness. Thanksgiving keeps our focus on the finished work of Jesus and reminds us that His promises are already ours.

Holding fast requires endurance. The enemy may be persistent, but believers must be even more persistent. We continue standing. We continue speaking. We continue praising. We continue believing. Scripture tells us that after we have done all to stand, we stand.

The daily pattern is simple. Feed on the Word. Speak God’s promises. Resist immediately. Thank God continually. Refuse to move based on circumstances.

The encouragement this week is simple. Do not let go of what God has provided. Hold fast to His Word, because He is faithful to every promise He has made.
